Frequently Asked Questions

Garden Pieces

Will it last forever?

No. While resin is hardwearing, the pieces crafted using it are not designed to last forever. There are different factors at play when it comes to the lifespan of H+H garden pieces, including proper care.  To ensure the longevity of your piece, follow the care instructions included in your order or you can refer here.

Can I wear it while showering or swimming?

We advise that you take your wearable pieces off before showering, bathing, and swimming. Resin is water-resistant but not waterproof. Some elements abundant in swimming pools or natural waters may cause residue build up in your resin pieces with prolonged exposure. This may lead to damage and discoloration.

What types of resin do you use?

It depends on the project. We use epoxy or UV resin, sometimes both.

What metals do you use?

We use non-precious metals. These are then coated with a protectant and for smaller attachments such as bails, another layer of resin to make them stronger. Note that our wearable pieces are not fine jewelry. But even as such, they require appropriate care.

How long does it take for you to craft a piece?

Our process takes 3-6 weeks to complete. This will depend on the design, weather, availability of materials, and chosen botanicals.

Do you craft customized pieces? And what is the price?

Yes we do. Please refer here. We will discuss the quoations here as well.

Are your pieces hypoallergenic? Are they suitable for acidic skin?

We are in the early stages of our resin journey. We are yet to find metal and attachments that are suitable to different skin types. We can guide you in deciding whether our creations are suitable for you but it is your responsibility to know your skin’s needs.

Hancrafted Spreads and Sauces

How long do your spreads and sauces keep?

What if I left it on the counter unopened when it was supposed to be stored in the refrigerator?

The Yema with Pili Spread and Pesto with Pili Sauce will still be able to keep up to 5 days unopened on the counter. However, this may affect the quality and flavor. As for the Chicken Liver Spread, it must be refrigerated immediately after receiving it. If you left it on the counter for more than 36 hours, even unopened, discard it immediately.

Why does the Chicken Liver Spread have a shorter shelf life than the other spreads?

The H+H chicken liver spread is crafted with no added preservatives. The one keeping its flavor and consistency is the olive oil that we use to seal it on top. Even if it has been thoroughly cooked and canned, it needs the right storage temperatures and practices to preserve its lifespan.

Why do H+H Spreads and Sauces have a shorter shelf life than those in the market?

Our food products have been crafted by slow hands without adding more ingredients that what we think is necessary. Our crafted food is not meant for stocking. We provide tips on how to prolong their shelf life but only up to a few days. We advocate for mindful consumption so we encourage you to buy only what you will be able to eat and use within its shelf life.

Do you accept bulk orders?

Yes, we do. Contact us for bulk orders whether for personal use, gifting, giveaways, etc. Depending on the quantity, contents, and purpose of the bulk order, we will need a lead time of 7- 30 days.

IMPORTANT: FOOD SAFETY is everyone’s responsibility. To keep your H+H spreads and sauces safe and in their best quality, make sure to wash your hands before handling them, along with any other food item. Practice proper hygiene at home, especially in the kitchen and dining areas. Always remember to follow the storage instructions on the labels, too.
